When recommending internet service providers, NetSpeed Canada considers different factors including broadband technology, availability, customer support, pricing, and overall value.

Regarding broadband technology, we seek to break down the jargon and ensure that you understand the differences in speed, pricing and coverage between technologies such as cable, digital subscriber line (DSL), fixed wireless, fibre-to-the-node (FTTN) and fibre-to-the-home (FTTH).

Additionally, when it comes to home internet plans, we evaluate upload and download speeds, contract requirements, installation process and costs, user experience, unlimited data, and equipment rental options for each internet service provider.

Our team has built a proprietary database that ensures the information we provide you is specific to your exact location. To verify ISP service availability, we run regular spot-checks on local addresses.

As with any research, there are a few limitations. While we do our best to provide you with the most accurate and latest information on the pricing and speed of specific internet service providers in your area, this data is variable and some addresses may qualify for different internet services.

Even though we generate our data points from the ISPs themselves, we do recommend that you enter your address into the ISP’s website or visit a local ISP store to get additional insights on internet plan availability and pricing offers.
