Based on our research, Bell is the best internet provider in Mississauga. That’s because it offers full fibre with symmetrical upload and download speeds.
For example, its Gigabit Fibe 1.5 plan offers 1,500 Mbps download speeds and 940 Mbps upload speeds for a monthly charge of $130.
It also has extensive infrastructure and can offer fibre to the largest number of households in Mississauga.
For a more budget-friendly option, Oxio’s Internet 1000 offers 1,000 Mbps download speeds and 50 Mbps upload speeds for $85. And if you don’t really need such a fast connection, there’s a range of cheaper plans.
The cheapest provider with widely available service and a functional plan is Coextro with its 100 Mbps download speed for $39.95 monthly.

NetSpeed Canada considers internet plans, pricing, customer support, availability, broadband technology, and the overall value, when recommending internet service providers in Mississauga.
When it comes to home internet plans, we also evaluate the download & upload speeds, installation process, contract requirements, unlimited data, user experience, and equipment rental options for each ISP.
To ensure our information is specific to your exact location, we use our proprietary database that has been built in-house by our team. We run regular spot-checks on local addresses in the database to verify ISP service availability.
As with any methodology, there are a few limitations. While we do our best to give you the latest and most accurate information on the speed and pricing of specific ISPs in your area, this data is variable and certain addresses may qualify for different internet services.
Although we generate our data points from the ISPs themselves, we do recommend entering your address into the ISP’s website to find specific plans available in your area.
The reviews and recommendations below are not sponsored. We independently test and review all internet service providers in this article and do our best to give you an unbiased view.

Bell is the biggest service provider in all of Canada, and its service availability in Mississauga is good.
The company uses a full-fibre service, and this means that its internet is not only fast, but reliable.
For the average home internet user, its Gigabit Fibe 1.5 (downloads at 1,500 Mbps and uploads at 940 Mbps will be more than sufficient. However, with a cost of $130, it isn’t the cheapest plan out there.
Extras include the WiFi 6E Giga Hub installed at an added cost of $60 and WiFi pods at a cost of $5 per month.
The fastest plan it offers is the Gigabit Fibe 3.0 – but that comes with a caveat. It isn’t available to all the households where Bell offers service.
An additional downside: 1 Gbps is a good speed for most home internet users, and several of Bell’s competitors offer comparatively lower-priced plans in this range.
Finally, Bell’s website warns that prices are subject to increases – and according to many users, this can happen unexpectedly or at short notice.

If you’re searching for budget-friendly home internet plans in Mississauga, Oxio may have what you need.
The company has a fairly good reputation for customer service, transparent pricing and is able to offer its service in most Mississauga neighbourhoods.
Other advantages include free routers, free installation, and all the flexibility that comes with a month-to-month service with no contracts to lock you in.
For a 1,000 Mbps plan, the charge is $85 per month in qualifying areas. Although on the slow side, a 30 Mbps plan can cover light usage at $48 per month.
The biggest downside of choosing Oxio is the technology it relies on. You will get a cable connection, and this means that upload speeds will be slow and download speeds might fluctuate based on demand.

Coextro also offers budget-friendliness and deserves a mention for its 100/30 Hybrid Fibre Optic Plan at $39.95 per month.
On the fast end of the spectrum, its 1,500/50 Hybrid Fibre Optic Plan, offering 1,500 Mbps download speeds and 50 Mbps upload speeds costs $69.95 – considerably less than Bell’s comparable package, but with slower upload speeds.
We also like the fact that the company is transparent about what type of connection it offers. Hybrid fibre combines fibre with coaxial cables, hence the slower upload speeds. In simple terms, you connect to a node using coaxial cable, and the node runs on fibre.
Like Oxio, there’s no installation fee, and you can run with a month-to-month plan rather than locking yourself into a contract. Customer service reviews are variable. .
As so often happens with smaller providers, however, availability may be an issue in certain areas. So, although we rate this provider as well worth your consideration, it may not offer service where you live.

Another of the big players in Mississauga, Rogers offers Gigabit download speeds using its fibre network. It offers a 1.5 Gbps plan and a 2.5 Gbps plan. However, there are some downsides to consider.
In the first place, pricing is on the high side, with a 1.5 Gbps (1,500 Mbps) plan costing $129.99 monthly. That’s comparable with Bell, but because it offers hybrid fibre, download speeds on this plan are just 50 Mbps.
You can access more competitive pricing from Rogers, but that comes with a downside too. The 1.5Gbps plan’s cost drops to $109.99 per month – but only if you’re willing to sign up for a 2-year contract.
In addition, their WiFi Pod rental for extended WiFi coverage in your home is $10 per month – twice the charge that Bell levies.

EBOX is a brand that was acquired by Bell in 2022. As such, it offers pure fibre and hybrid fibre home internet plans in Mississauga. And, you might be surprised to find that its pricing is lower – when service is available.
Service availability appears to be one of the chief downsides of EBOX, possibly because Bell’s flagship brand already serves most addresses.
However, if you can get it, you’ll enjoy fast, full or hybrid fibre internet for less. For example, a 500 Mbps plan from EBOX costs just $50 per month compared to $125 per month for the same upload and download speeds directly from Bell.
Although Bell seems to be maintaining EBOX as a separate brand, the final downside may be that Bell doesn’t appear to be prioritising it. For example, some customers report lengthy service queues.
At the same time, if you can get it, EBOX is cheaper and has more stable pricing.
Most households in Mississauga have access to high-speed internet, with 1 Gbps plans being available.
If we take the good with the bad and turn that into an average, download speeds are 183.89 Mbps and upload speeds are 37.17 Mbps.
However, with factors like the rise of hybrid and remote working coupled with a growing demand for fibre, we can expect average speeds to increase over time.
The fastest plans in Mississauga, like Bell’s Gigabit Fibe 3.0, aren’t widely available and Beanfield’s 8 Gbps Fibre has very limited availability indeed.
You can get better prices on home internet plans if you’re able to find special offers from ISPs. They’ll usually advertise these offers prominently on their websites, but be careful about checking speeds and the terms of the offer.
You can sometimes get better pricing if you’re willing to sign up for a contract (usually two years). However, if you take a deal like this and later decide you aren’t happy with it, there will be cancellation fees.
Finally, your address may have a role to play. For example, when smaller ISPs are offering better prices in your building, larger ones might offer lower rates to remain competitive.
If your top priority is finding a cheap plan, there are several low cost plans available in Mississauga.
The cheapest ones come from Comwave and Teksavvy. They’re both $29.95 a month and both offer 30 Mbps download speeds. If it’s available at your address, RALLY offers a respectable 500 Mbps full fibre plan for just $34.95 per month.
If you’re hoping to get a fast, full-fibre connection, your best option will be Bell’s Gigabit Fibe 1.5 at $130 per month.
Oxio offers cable and you can realise savings and good download speeds with its 1,000 Mbps plan at $85 per month.
You may also want to take a closer look at Coextro’s 1,500/50 Hybrid Fibre Optic Plan at $69.95. Its excellent customer service reputation is the cherry on top – if Coextro offers service in your area.
If pricing is your primary concern, the companies to watch will be Comwave and Teksavvy. However, both of their low-priced options offer speeds of only 30 Mbps.
Full fibre and part fibre internet (hybrid fibre) is available from several companies operating in Mississauga.
Most homes will have access to fibre internet services, with Bell offering the widest coverage for full-fibre plans.
If available, Coextro offers part fibre at reasonable monthly charges.
Bell’s Fibe 3.0 Gbps is the fastest home internet plan in Mississauga. However, few homes can access it.
Fortunately, Bell’s Gigabit Fibe 1.5 (1.5 Gbps) is more widely available and may be the fastest plan available to you.
The average internet user should not consider a plan offering less than 100 Mbps download speeds.
When thinking about the speeds you need, there are two things to consider: the type of things you do online, and the number of devices that will be working at once.
For example, a person working from home will typically need 20 Mbps in download speed to perform basic activities, and that only covers one device.
Video streaming, on the other hand, requires speeds of at least 30 Mbps, and if you want high definition image quality, that rises to 50 Mbps. Again, this only covers this single activity.
You can also consider your needs based on the number of devices your family might be using at once.
25 Mbps should cover one to two devices, but won’t be enough for video streaming.
Three to five devices require 100 Mbps and this speed should handle most of the things they are doing provided they aren’t all using a lot of bandwidth at once.
For 5 to 8 devices, look for a plan with speeds of at least 200 Mbps.
A 1Gbps speed will cover just about anything you want to do on multiple devices.
Activities that require fast download speeds include HD video streaming, HD gaming, and downloading large files.
Upload speeds are less important for most people, but fast uploads are useful for those who work from home and must upload large files. And, of course, content creators who regularly upload video files will benefit from fast upload speeds too.
