Cheap Internet in Ontario – Compare Prices & Providers

Finding cheap internet in Ontario isn’t hard. The province is actually one of the most competitive markets in Canada.

With dozens of independent fibre providers, resellers, and regional ISPs all fighting for market share, there are some genuinely good deals to be found.

Independent Fibre Providers

If you live in a condo or newer building in Toronto, Ottawa, or Hamilton, you might be lucky enough to have access to Rally or Beanfield.

Both companies own their own fibre infrastructure (not reselling Rogers or Bell), which means faster speeds and fewer slowdowns during peak hours. They also tend to have straightforward pricing — no promo gimmicks, no hidden fees.

Rally’s Fibre 500 plan is just $34.95/month, which is easily one of the cheapest fibre internet plans in Ontario right now. Beanfield’s pricing is also competitive, and both providers are known for excellent reliability and transparent service.

Resellers Offering Cheap Internet Plans in Ontario

Resellers like Oxio and TekSavvy lease infrastructure from the big players (Rogers, Bell, and Cogeco) but sell plans at much lower prices.

Oxio is a standout here. Their 1000 Mbps plan costs just $55/month in areas where they use Cogeco’s network, and the 100 Mbps plan is $40/month. You’ll get a free eero router and no contract, which makes it one of the best low-cost options for most households.

TELUS, Bell, and the Big Players

TELUS has been quietly making a push into Ontario with strong pricing. Their 1.5 Gig fibre plan for $79/month is a solid deal, especially given their reputation for reliability and customer support.

Bell remains the biggest ISP in Ontario with the widest fibre network, but their prices are on the higher end and customer service reviews aren’t great. Still, if Bell Fibre is available at your address, it’s hard to beat in terms of pure performance.

Smaller and Regional Providers

Beyond the big names, Ontario has a long list of smaller ISPs like Netcrawler, Diallog, and Carry Telecom.
These companies don’t always have nationwide coverage, but if they serve your area, you can often find very competitive prices, especially on cable internet.
