Internet Providers BC

BC, the third largest Canadian province by population, is home to more than 17 internet service providers.

The median download speed in BC is 211 Mbps, and the upload speed is 95 Mbps.

TELUS is the biggest telecommunication company in British Columbia and, as such, offers the largest broadband coverage. If you are looking for pure performance, TELUS fibre is the best technology currently available on the market.

Their fastest home internet package is called PureFibre X Internet 3G and offers 3000 Mbps symmetrical download and upload speeds.

You can also find some independent internet service providers in BC that build and own their fibre infrastructure, such as Novus or FibreStream. They are able to provide the same internet speeds as big telecommunication companies at a fraction of the price while offering better customer service.

The only downside is their limited availability since they need to build their own FTTH (Fibre to the Home) infrastructure.

If you are on a budget, there are many cable and DSL plans available. Oxio and TekSavvy are two ISPs known for offering many low-cost home internet plans. Starting as low as $29.95/month for 30 Mbps, these plans are a great deal for budget-conscious families.
